dirt track road all roads lead to the same place in Mongolia- especially if you drive in circles enough- which we often did! there are usually several track per road- you get to choose from full of ruts to not quite full of ruts. there is no paving until you are well into the city. they mostly drive on the grass until it becomes a road. we were very lucky that we did not have engine problems. the bus driver would get out every hour or so and tighten his wheels!
