Hybrids

Hybrids is a series of deconstructed garments frozen in blocks of ice. Like the complex reading of a surrealist exquisite corps book these garments are dissected and reassembled as an homage to the early Deconstruction Movement in fashion. Here gloves replace a head, sleeves are made of nylons and a brassier makes a fringe. Not hampered by the physical constraints of fashion these ephemeral pieces attempt to evoke the anti-aesthetic gesture intended in the Deconstruction philosophy.
