Lanterns

Nature Alight was a project for the Shadbolt Centre for their BC Culture Days Celebration. I made 3 chandeliers from branches inserted into rounds of wood. Volunteers and many children made the lanterns on Culture Day. The chandeliers were lowered to the ground so that kids could hang their new creation. At sunset the chandeliers were hoisted up by pulleys where they lit up the courtyard in front of the centre. Special thanks to Martin Borden who was my “right hand” in this project.
